From hating the catholic church to becoming a catholic theologian, motivated by the conversion of  Saul who was persecuting people and the words of Jesus in Acts 9:4 “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?”

Another great story of a great man passionate about the truth!

HOLLYWOOD’S – JIM CAVIEZEL TESTIMONY- actor & activist

His name bears the initials of JC and he was 33 years old when Jim made the movie. He claims that his talent came not from man but from God. From playing roles as football coach and Jesus Christ, he has adopted children born with tumors from China. This actor has been motivated by Christ by His passion and by the hope of salvation. He is not just an actor but lives his life in Christ.

A man made not to fit in but to stand out!

Thought provoking with near to fact courtroom drama, based on real court cases with some eye candy thrown in. Atheists were brought in who, in searching for the truth became believers themselves. A movie with hope.

WHAT FORGIVENESS IS NOT………..

WHAT FORGIVENESS IS NOT………..

  1. Forgetting deep hurts which are rarely wiped out of one’s awareness.
  2. Condoning or excusing the bad behaviour.
  3. Reconciling because reconciliation takes two people, the injured party can forgive an offender without reconciliation.
  4. Dismissing, forgiveness involves taking the offence seriously, not passing it off as inconsequential or insignificant.
  5. Pardoning because to grant a pardon is a legal transaction which releases an offender from the consequences of an action, such as a penalty. Forgiveness is a personal transaction that releases the offender from the offence.

A MOTHER’S PERSPECTIVE-HOMAGE TO MOTHER’S, SUNDAY, 8th MAY

Gender confusion is starting to creep in our society, any ideologies which deny the biological difference of a man and a woman is wrong and damaging to the very fabric of the family unit and society. Where the gender of a person can be the choice of an individual and change over time, would have to add confusion especially to developing minds. This negates the intelligent designer God – the all knowing and all loving Father, whose plan was to create mothers as an extension of His love for us. So while we can still celebrate MOTHER’S DAY in the traditional sense without being prosecuted, I just want to thank God for giving us mothers, for differentiating them,  for who they are, and for who God made them to be – nurturing, guiding, caregiving, gentle, sacrificing, hardworking, intuitive, etc…..

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL YOU BEAUTIFUL MOTHERS OUT THERE!

LOVE IS…………

I love this quote as it embodies all that we we could be for one another. Here I’m not just referring to love between a man and a woman, but love between siblings, a son and a father a mother and a daughter, a father and a daughter and mother and a son, love between friends etc…..

It is love that brought us here. God loved us first, there is nothing you have to do to earn God’s love because He loves us unconditionally, it is for love that Jesus gave his sacrifice.

Verse 13 in Corinthians says…

Love is eternal. There are inspired messages, but they are temporary; there are gifts of speaking in strange tongues, but they will cease; there is knowledge, but it will pass. For our gifts of knowledge and of inspired messages are only partial; 10 but when what is perfect comes, then what is partial will disappear.

11 When I was a child, my speech, feelings, and thinking were all those of a child; now that I am an adult, I have no more use for childish ways.12 What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror; then we shall see face-to-face. What I know now is only partial; then it will be complete—as complete as God’s knowledge of me.

So if love is not your motivating factor in your everyday, then nothing falls into place.

VICTOR OR VICTIM?

It’s easy to wallow in self pity and feel sorry for yourself, but that’s like a cancer, it just grows and with it comes more misery and self pity. It really never gets you anywhere. The enemy will put fear into you because he is the master of deception. Fear is often unfounded and often we exaggerate it because we predict into the future.  We all live in the world but we don’t have to be part of that. Fear does not come from God, it is put into our hearts by the enemy. Instead, we can surrender to God and allow Him to solve our problems because He has the big picture and He has the best solution for you. Just pray and trust in God and His Son JESUS CHRIST.

There are many things that separate us from God. These are: worshipping yourself(body image), money, careers, cars, property etc………. don’t get me wrong, God doesn’t want you to be poor. God wants you to have what is best for you and for you to focus on the things that are good and praiseworthy.

I don’t think I’m alone here, I believe we all go through doubt and fear (see other blog post (FEAR) but I always find my way when I think of myself as a victor because I know who I am in Christ. Praying to Jesus who knows me better than anyone else, even better than myself,  can steer me in the right direction and towards the best possible solution.

You need to know who you are in Christ and stand firm. Speak up for God. Pray and ask Him and let Him work out your problems through the Holy Spirit who can transform your world.

You can ask Jesus what it is that He wants you to do, the answer may come in the form of a feeling, idea, thought, memory or the words to a song etc. It’s the first thing that comes to mind and don’t over analyse it, remember that Jesus has all the answers. Jesus was there when you were born, when you were growing up and He knows the heart that God the Father gave you. BE VICTORIOUS NOT A VICTIM!!
